LuAnn Lee Graduated from the NDSU Veterinary Technician Program in 1979. She was a valued active member of the North Dakota Veterinary Technician Association. She served on the executive board and was a key player in the establishment of the Veterinary Technician Practice Act in North Dakota.

LuAnn dedicated her life to the veterinary profession, working hard to promote veterinary technicians. She unfortunately was in a fatal car accident in December of 1999. This scholarship fund was established in her honor to assist a veterinary technology student in the pursuit of education and to further promote the veterinary technician profession.

Application Guidelines

-Complete application
-Two or more letters of recommendation:
One letter from a current faculty member
One letter from a person of your choice
-The applicant may upload the letters of recommendation or have them submitted on their behalf via email to the scholarship committee chair at bcarmichiel@gmail.com.
-The applicant must be a P1 or higher
-The applicant must write a 500-word essay on the question chosen by the scholarship committee.
-Application must be submitted online by May 15th, 2024
-Incomplete applications or applications submitted after the May 15th, 2024 deadline will not be eligible.
-The scholarship amount is $1000. The recipient will be notified in May 2024, by mail. Money will be awarded in August 2024. The recipient will be invited to attend the NDVTA continuing education seminar in October 2024 for a formal awards presentation.
